TERMS & CONDITIONS

Delivery

Goods (apart from Back-orders or where otherwise stated) are dispatched within 1-4 working days after an order is placed provided they are in stock.  If we discover that an item is out of stock, we will let you know immediately by email & give you a revised delivery date or the option of a refund.  During busy periods (such as the run-up to Christmas), we will keep you informed by email if any delay is likely.  Delivery is normally charged at €7 per package up to 1 kg, for Republic of Ireland addresses.  UK packages and heavier/larger and fragile items are subject to a surcharge ranging from €15-€100.  Within Ireland we use An Post Parcel Post for regular packages and courier services for larger items. Standard delivery time is 2-5 working days.  Again, during busy postal periods, delivery may take longer.  We also deliver to the UK.  We deliver outside of Ireland/UK by arrangement only – delivery charges will depend on weight and size of item and destination.  Please contact us for outside of Ireland deliveries – we’d be happy to give you a quote.

Returns

If you change your mind, about an Old Mill Stores online purchase you can cancel your order before the item has been dispatched (usually within 2 days of placement of order) & any payments made will be refunded in full as soon as possible (but no later than within 28 days). If you cancel an order after you have received an email confirming that your goods have been dispatched, you may still cancel the order but you will be liable for delivery charges and the cost of returning the goods to us.  When you purchase online, you have a statutory right to return a product (other than a stated ‘special’ order) up to 7 days after your order has been delivered without stating a reason (known as the cooling off period). You should inform us by email to theoldmillstores@gmail.com  of your intention to return goods within 7 days of placing your order and you must return the item to us within 28 days of receipt.  Goods must be returned in the same condition as they were delivered. They must be packed in original packaging for a refund or replacement.  If the good or goods are not in a fully saleable condition on return to us, we reserve the right to refuse a refund.  Refunds will not be given until returned items have been checked and ok’d.  Delivery charges will be retained by us except in the event of damaged goods.

In the event of goods arriving damaged or not as ordered, please inform The Old Mill Stores by email (with accompanying photo of damaged goods) or by telephone within 24 hours of receipt and we will be happy to replace them or offer a refund on return of goods including delivery charges.

This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.

 Our Environmental Policy

At The Old Mill Stores we try to Reduce, Re-Use and Recycle whenever possible in order to provide a more environmentally-friendly service.  Consequently we do not throw out original packaging on goods sent by our suppliers.  While our packages may not always be the prettiest on the outside, many of our items will be individually ‘boxed’ inside as we are also aware that ‘looks matter’, especially for gift items.   Most importantly, we want our goods to arrive safely so everything is well wrapped and as adequately protected as possible.  In a bid to save on the use of paper we email all customer invoices rather than enclosing printed material with orders.  Naturally we can also provide a printed copy of any invoice – just let us know by email or telephone.
